Wee Dance Academy is a Charlotte-based dance school founded by long-time dance educator Leeann Li. With over 15 years of experience teaching Chinese dance in the Charlotte region, Leeann has worked with students of all ages — from preschoolers to seniors — helping them connect with culture through movement.

At Wee Dance, we believe that dance is more than art — it is storytelling, memory, and cultural dialogue. Our programs blend classical Chinese dance, folk traditions, and modern choreography to offer a dynamic and meaningful experience for learners and audiences alike.

In 2025, we launched our debut stage production “Awakening the Ancient”, a cross-temporal dance drama that traces Chinese history from the Han dynasty to the modern era. This performance not only brought together a diverse cast of local performers, but also sparked new interest in cultural dance within the Charlotte community.
